Researchers Achieve Breakthrough in Formulating Vaccine for Viral Diseases

Researchers achieve recombinant vaccine formulation for viral diseases

A team of researchers from Nanozist Fanavar Ferdowsi, a knowledge-based company, has successfully formulated a vaccine based on a recombinant protein for treating viral diseases such as AIDS and COVID-19. This groundbreaking discovery has been granted a patent by the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Dr. Maria Beyhaghi, CEO of the company, explained in an interview with ISNA that the company specializes in producing cutting-edge biotechnology, nanotechnology, and medical products. Their portfolio includes biotechnological formulations, diagnostic kits, smart pharmaceutical polymers, and biotechnology-driven products.

She emphasized the significance of their recombinant protein, stating that it is designed to function as a multi-epitope cytokine-based protein targeting CCR7-positive cells. This protein holds the potential for both early cancer detection and vaccine production. The invention has been patented under the title “Cytokine-based multi-epitope protein for binding to ccr7-positive cells”.

Dr. Beyhaghi also highlighted the diagnostic kits manufactured by the company, which can identify an individual’s underlying illnesses even if the patient is unable to communicate their medical history. The kits are designed to analyze the patient’s genetic makeup using the cytochrome P450 enzyme family, specifically the CYP variant. This enables accurate diagnosis and drug dosage determination.

The company aims to revolutionize the healthcare sector by offering these innovative solutions. Further research and development are expected to broaden the scope of applications for these patented technologies in the near future.

Smart drug delivery polymers

The managing director of this knowledge-based company stated, referring to the production of smart pharmaceutical polymers in this company, “These polymers are a type of targeted drugs that cause the drug to be delivered to the target site.”

He stated: “With the prescription of several drugs, drug interference may be caused, and smart polymers will cause synergistic effects with different drugs, in addition to causing the drug to be delivered to the target site.”
